A month or so ago, I found myself on a need for an adventure. No longer caring about the weather, I decided to brave the rain and then snow, to create one. We loaded up in my car, also known as “little purple,” and made our way towards Mt Shasta.
(On a sidenote: hiking is one of my absolute favorite things to do. One of the best parts of living in Northern California are all of the hikes available in your backyard. If you’ve never been in Northern California, I highly suggest you make the trip. I plan on summiting a few of the nearby mountains this spring.)
To my delight we found snow, and lots of it! While I’m usually not one that thrives in cold weather, walking around in the snow laden forest was definitely worth it! I’m thinking about investing in a pair of snowshoes for the winter months.
