Fall Flannel: 3 Ways

With Labor Day coming to a close and temperatures beginning to drop, fall is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Every year I return to flannels as a layering staple and fall basic. This year will be no different. Soft, broken in, and loads of comfort, I decided to take this piece and style it out for various occasions. My favorite look? Date night.

Keeping It Basic

This look is perfect for everyday wear and weekends. I love the softness of the broken in jean, layers of bracelets on the wrist, and long tank. This fall expect pops of lace and lace-trimmed items to be everywhere. My new favorite edition? The lace skirting on various tanks. It adds a bit of a feminine edge and is the perfect layering piece for fluctuating temperatures throughout the day. Paired with simple, minimalist tasseled jewelry this look is approachable, cozy, and makes you feel great.

For the Weekend

When it comes to the weekend, flannels are perfect, easy layering pieces. Whether thrown over a tee and heading to brunch, placing over a bathing suit at the lake, or surrounding a campfire at night, this look remains timeless Americana. Paired with your favorite broken in denim, it is perfect for whatever your weekend may hold. Here we added a great graphic tee, helping symbolizing the occasion, and a knit beanie for covering that bedhead right after camping.

For Date Night

Can flannels be dressed up? We say yes and absolutely! This look started with a signature black tulle skirt. We love these for the fall and winter season and they can be styled in so many ways. We chose black pieces to go with the flannel, allowing the colors in the shirt and makeup to remain the stars of the show. Paired with a silk cami, leather bow belt, and some great heels, you’re ready for a night out that looks effortless. Add a pop of color with your lipstick and have a great night!
