This Weekend

Happy Friday everyone!

This week has been a full one. It’s been full of lists, daily deadlines, and adjusting to a new schedule with hours of school a day and homework. I’m learning to permit myself loads of grace in this time of transition. Because, well, I need it. I’m fighting being overwhelmed and am looking forward to a whole day of doing absolutely nothing. I’ll be reading a book for fun, soaking up some sun by the pool, and taking it easy. Sometimes in the hustle it is all too easy to forget the importance of taking time off. There is always something that can be done, ways to fill time, and something I could be doing to make my business, blog, Instagram better. However, I’m learning that most of the time, when I step away from my desk are just as important as the hours spent at it.

Here are a few links I’ve been loving around the Internet lately:

Madewell is having another one of their amazing sales. Head over for 30% off your purchases. I’ve been holding out on a new bag for school and am thinking I might make the splurge with this sale.

With fall comes the return of all things pumpkin. With a new Kitchen Aid mixer in our home, I’m thinking some coconut cream ice cream is in order. Possibly turned into an affogato? Yes fall never tasted so good. I’ll be using this recipe as the launching point. Expect a completed recipe here soon.

If you’re located in Redding and looking for something to do this weekend, make sure to head down to Shasta Living Streets. With cool vibes, music, and outdoor seating get a taste of what Redding could be in the future. Located near Spoon Me and Shameless O’Leary’s on California Street.

While our days still feel like the fullness of summer, this recipe definitely gets drinks into the spirit of fall. Meet an autumn bourbon sangria from My Life Styled. My Kentucky heart says, “Yes please.”

What are you up to this weekend?
