Happy Friday everyone!
Wow what a week it has been. Between graduations, mother’s day, and saying farewell to friends as they leave for distant lands some for longer than I would like. May is always a season of transition, of hard goodbyes, and figuring out the next steps. While it is my third May in this community, I can’t say that the practice has made farewells any easier. I’m welcoming my travel in the upcoming weeks as a slight reprieve and embracing all that comes with the summer months. I’m hoping to find a few adventures and moments of downtime during the weekend. Also, pool parties and nights on the patio will become the norm as we hit our first week of triple digits temperatures. You will find me hibernating inside or in the water from now until September.
Happy weekend everyone!
With Mother’s Day weekend approaching we decided to put together this little print and card for the coolest woman you know, your mom. Around here we’re closing up a full week of projects, graduations, and birthdays. It’s been a celebratory week and we’re ready to rest a bit
When it comes to the weekend, I always get a bit more excited. It’s the days that have breathing room, the moments to embrace the fresh early summer days, and to the ability to enjoy all that comes with a more relaxed pace. Whether enjoying a good book, a cup of coffee with friends, or going for a hike, we discover the beauty of pressing pause. For me this weekend will be full as I finish out school next week. It’s been a marathon and is one worth celebrating as the end is in sight.
There’s something about a rainy day in spring. The peaceful sound of the raindrops against the windows, and the fresh crispness of the air. We put on our coziest layers and make big pots of soup. Our April has been filled with rainy days and sometimes a great playlist can be the best remedy to getting things done when all you want to do is stay in bed. (It can be a big challenge when working from home.) We put together this playlist to embrace all that the last rainy days of spring have to offer.
Have an amazing weekend everyone!
Every spring as blood oranges arrive I can’t contain myself. Everything from the color to their short season, make them one of my favorite ingredients to work with. When juiced, they provide drinks with a stunning pink color and are impressive. This cocktail is an updated take on an old fashioned with the sweetness of blood orange and a nuance of rosemary. Perfect for any spring gathering.
