There’s something about being in a urban area. As a city girl at heart, moving from a city of over a million to a town of 91,000 has been quite the adjustment. I love Redding and what it has to offer, but am incredibly excited for playing a part in transforming this culture and building the local economy.
Lately I find myself in the mix of things. I live in the small town, have the mountains in my backyard, but still miss the smallest facets of city life, including traffic. With that in mind, I decided to return to my roots for this shoot. I craved the return of inorganic forms, dirt, and textures and sought them out.

During the shoot we found this incredible mural wall. With my gaze and focus in the picture, I think it says, “Take on the world this Tuesday. Just take it.”
