Shop Small: Redding, CA Gift Guide

In honor of Shop Small Saturday and supporting small businesses, I’ve put together this gift guide in honor of some of my favorites in city. From the leather goods and jewelry, to stoneware and the most delicious desserts you can find, these small businesses are putting Redding on the map, bringing creativity and economy to our small town.

1. ETHIOPIAN COFFEE from Integrity Coffee Roasting: I met Blake and Jamie last year and they’re amazing people. Creatives at heart and from my hometown, this couple are the real deal in authenticity and kindness. When you interact with them you truly get the best. This fall they launched their coffee subscription and have done a phenomenal job infiltrating the roasted coffee market. Ditch a Misto subscription and order from these folks.

2. Nani Earrings from Hadley Frances: I met Hadley at a holiday craft fair over four years ago. From there we did blogging collaborations and you can find me wearing at least one of her pieces everyday. Her pieces are a great investment in minimal gold pieces to layer for special occasions or solo for everyday wear.

3. Leather Stamped Keychain from Twin Sparrow Co.:  Christine, the Founder of the Twin Sparrow Co, is a vibrant and beautiful soul. We love her keychains and have a favorite tradition. Every year we ask for a word and purchase this word on a fresh leather keychain. This is a thoughtful gift

4. Mug from Feast Coffee: Whether you’re buying coffee or this stunning mug from Feast, every product you purchase is filled with love and care. This mug mirrors the hygge style with a minimalist two-tone stoneware and is the perfect addition for any coffee lover.

5. Brown Oiled Tote from Knollwood Leather: When it comes to leather goods, Knollwood offers stunning and beautiful pieces. I’m always up for a new leather tote and have been carrying mine everyday for two years. Whatever item you find in this collection, you’ll be surprised by the quality and craftsmanship.

6. Happy Candle from The Good Stink: Love candles, but worried about what they’re releasing into the air? This candle company only uses the purest wax and essential oils, allowing you to breathe easy.

7. Art Print by Zea Ink: The perfect art print, as a reminder there’s nothing worth your peace.

8. The Whole Doughnut E-Book by Kezia Neusch: A while ago, I was able to do recipe testing for this e-book. The best part? This book is excellent through and through. With the ability to transform doughnuts into baked gluten-free, refined sugar free delights, you’ll never look at a doughnut the same way again. (We promise you’ll want to make them for Christmas brunch.)

9. Christmas EP by Brian and Katie Torwalt: It’s only appropriate that we include a moment of Christmas. Brian and Katie bring smooth and classic tones to these timeless favorites, perfect for decorating the tree, decorating cookies, or wrapping gifts.

10. Cake Stationery by Buttrcrm: I first met Erica when owning a co-working space downtown. She has endless creative energy and ability to style things in a stunning way. She has recently released this adorable stationary and it makes me want to eat cake!

11. Cupcakes by Buttrcrm: It only felt appropriate to share a favorite sweet treat. Erica’s cupcakes are filled with fair-trade, organic, and available gluten-free ingredients. She uses only the best. Whether you’re looking for a chocolate guinness cake or lavender buttercream, there’s the perfect foodie pairings and adventurous flavors.

12. “It’s Going This Way” Original Canvas by Natalie Shaw: I first met Natalie at a show last May. Her abstract work is stunning and will be some of the first canvases I will add to my art collection. With use of texture, movement, and line, she pairs mixed media in a fresh and timeless way
