Looking for the perfect last minute Valentine? This DIY is simple, gender-neutral, and has just the right touch of copper. Make a few of these for your friends, roommates, or significant other this Valentine’s Day.
Supplies:
- Birch plywood
- Ruler
- X-acto knife
- cutting mat
- mechanical pencil
- 1 inch foam brush
- Liquid gold leaf, in copper
- Sharpie pen
Directions:
Step one: Using an X-acto knife cut birch plywood into 4×6 rectangles.
Step two: Using a foam brush add lettering to the plywood. To have lettering that ran off the edge I used newsprint under the piece of plywood. Using the same brush I tapped it against the edge of my hand to add some beautiful perfectly placed splatter.
Step three: Let the front dry. Meanwhile draft a thoughtful little note of love to someone. Using sharpie pen, add a perfect note to the back. Feel free to style it like a vintage postcard or write out a long letter of sweet notions if you like.
Step four: Send to someone you love!
