A Minimal Winter Wardrobe with Grana

Capsule wardrobe. 33 wardrobe, you name it with the onset of 90s fashion trends, basics have returned over the past few seasons in a powerful way and many women have simplified their wardrobe. I used to be someone who loved color, trend, and editorial elements. While I still love making a statement with fashion, you can’t pull me away from basics. With layering and a cohesive color scheme, it is easy to mix and match pieces, creating a variety of looks throughout the seasons. This past week, I did a bit of spring cleaning and donated 8 bags of clothing, accessories, and shoes that I hadn’t worn since my move to NorCal. My closet hasn’t looked better. Everything can be paired with everything else. If it worked for a man like Steve Jobs, it can certainly work for me. Today, I’ve teamed up with Grana to share 4 pieces that are the perfect addition to any winter minimal wardrobe.

We love working with Grana because of their high quality products and their commitment to transparency and ethics in the fashion industry. With a focus on premium fabrics at a great price, their pieces fill your closet with basics that will last and are worth the investment.

Piece one: A button-down silk shirt

Every closet needs a few button down staples and you can’t go wrong with a classic white shirt. For the winter season, we chose a beautiful winter white. With an updated collar and luxurious finish of silk, it’s a great basic. Paired with jeans and a layered cashmere sweater, it’s the perfect look for a day in. Add a chelsea boot and a blazer and dress up the look for any client meeting you might have. Looking to keep things simple? With a pair of dark wash, high-rise jeans add a pump and layer jewelry for a night on the town.

Piece two: Cashmere Crew neck sweater

With a classic cut and favorite color of gray, you will find me in this sweater any given day of the week. It’s cozy and comfortable, perfect for any chilly weather the winter season might bring. Paired with distressed jeans and sneakers, it’s great for errands. With a pencil skirt and a leather bomber jacket, I’m ready to take on the world.

Piece three: Silk tank dress in black

In NorCal, our closet isn’t necessarily determined by seasons, but by dry and wet. This dress is perfect for wearing 9 months around the year and is an effortless piece. You’ll find me living in this dress in the summer time with a simple lace up sandal and minimal leather slides. With a bit of jewelry and change in makeup, it’s perfect for any special occasion. In the cooler months, I add leggings, black wedge booties, and layer on an olive anorak jacket.  Looking to rock the dress as a skirt? Add a striped pullover or hoodie as a top. With the cut of the dress it leaves a great flowy skirt, paired with booties, it’s a great put together look for the winter months.

Piece four: Cashmere joggers

If there was one piece of loungewear I would recommend purchasing, it would be these joggers. They are amazing and the perfect treat. With sneakers and a white tee, it’s the perfect look for those close to home errands. Paired with a bomber jacket, black tank, heel, and signature bag, it’s ready to go the span of your day.
