When it comes to DIY projects, sometimes simple is best. Today I thought I’d share with you a easy DIY. I’m not reinventing the wheel with this one, but I absolutely love the way these vases turned out. They kind of say “I’m cool, hip, luxurious, and natural” all at the same time. Kind of like the girl-next-door-meets fashion in the best kind of way.

Supplies:
- Gold leaf kit
- 2 paintbrushes
- Vases (found these small bubble vases at the Dollar Tree)
Instructions:
Follow the instructions on your gold leaf kit. I started by cleaning the glass and applying a coat of adhesive. Once you apply the adhesive, let it dry for approximately 20-30 minutes until the glue becomes a tacky coating. You’re now ready to apply your gold leaf. I decided to apply mine only at the bottom of the vase, but you can opted to apply yours however you like. Using a soft, dry brush apply sheets of gold leaf to your vase. I used around 5 sheets for 3 vases. Once all the spots of adhesive are covered, paint a coat of sealer on top. Set aside and let dry. My vases dried in about an hour. I planted a small succulent in each on and topped with small rocks for drainage.
