Love L.A.

There’s something about going to a new place and knowing a moment is significant. It is a moment in time that will never be repeated. It stands frozen, embedded within our memory, and ingrained deeply within our heart. More than anything, the moment passes, and we know that we our different. The way we view the world, interact with others, and explore new places forever changes.

My trip to L.A was no different.

Whether it was on the beach, in a stadium, or on a college campus, my heart connected with the hearts of strangers. Faith, hope, and goodwill toward a stranger became easy. Generosity through tips and to any business we entered became our norm.

More than anything, I saw the power of connection and love. The beauty of loving the person set before me, whoever it was that next met my gaze. What surprised me the most? How much people responded to hope and faith set before them. In places where I once thought things were hard and connection was difficult, I sat there reminded of how easy it really was. My faith isn’t something I share often in this space. I keep things upbeat with a curated lifestyle, but in L.A. it couldn’t be contained through simple acts, small 30 second prayers, and generosity, we saw hearts unfold, coming to believe that God hadn’t forgotten his children, but radically loved all of humanity. From the Hollywood hills to the Santa Monica pier, we came to love L.A.

L.A. you’ve won me heart and soul. We saw sickness fall, love encounter those before us, and unfathomable beauty in the faces and places that we went. From a New Age shop owner to those bound to wheelchairs, L.A. is a city of beautiful people and incredible hearts.

Until next time Los Angeles.
