With Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving the focus is always the food and gathering loved ones around the table. Every year I like to give my table that little something special. This year I opted to add a few vibey pieces and ditch the typical pumpkins and cornucopias. Inspired by turkey feathers, fall leaves, and a pop of gold, the table was anchored by candlelight and a beautiful runner.

The elements.
There were a few items that were splurges, while other were saves. My largest expense was purchasing this gold set of flatware from Target. This is something I’ve been seeing in magazines and I’m loving the trend of mixed metals for the holiday season, so I decided to pick it up. This set is beautiful and will be well used throughout the season. My other splurge was the fishnet runner from West Elm. I love the unexpected element of texture and natural fiber it adds to the table. To save on money, I decided to go foraging for my centerpiece. I found eucalyptus, magnolia, maple, and oak branches around my neighborhood and trimmed a few pieces off. (If you’re trimming neighbors trees make sure to ask first.) Then I added a few feather I had on hand from my craft stash and a package I had purchased. To finish off the centerpiece, I added some mercury glass tealight holders and some vintage brass candlesticks I already had. (Looking for some of your own? Head to the Goodwill or Salvation Army. They’re usually 99 cents each and have a lovely patina on them.)
The place setting.
Each place setting was anchored by a gold charger. These came from the dollar store. The place cards were made out of black cardstock and finished with script writing with a gold marker.The black cotton napkins added an additional vibey pop. To finish off the place cards, I added a sprig of magnolia leaf or an feather.
Overall this table is one of my favorites to date. I love the simplicity of each element and the way all the neutrals and metallics work together. It’s elevated, classic, and beautiful.
